The Bluebird Hunter Lodge is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to our guests' satisfaction.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced cook who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food orders on the line, ensuring that all presentation guidelines are met and standard recipes are followed.
  • Establish a system of food stations and stock them with necessary ingredients for the shift.
  • Clean and sanitize all workstations, including counters, utensils, cooking equipment, and the refrigerator.
  • Ensure that all interactions with visitors, vendors, and colleagues are conducted in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products.
  • Prepare mise en place for respective stations and forecast prep needs accordingly.
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, steamers, mixers, and chef's knives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

Qualifications and Skills

  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
  • Prior experience working in food service is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.

Compensation and Benefits
