Job Overview

DiPietro Recruiting and Consulting seeks an experienced Municipal Engineering Manager to lead our municipal engineering services team. This senior-level position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in managing infrastructure projects for municipalities, counties, and authorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage capital improvement projects for municipal clients.
  • Oversee review of applications before planning, zoning, and/or land-use boards.
  • Coordinate master planning-related tasks.
  • Serve as a Municipal Engineer and Board Engineer.
  • Prepare proposals and budget estimates.
  • Supervise staff in the design of engineering projects (including roadways, drainage, water, wastewater, other utilities, and site development).
  • Provide mentorship to staff members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • 12+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with infrastructure projects and the municipal sector.
  • PE license in NJ.
  • Certified Municipal Engineer [CME] credential is preferred.
  • Management and/or Project Management experience; proven ability to manage multi-discipline projects is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced expertise working with design and permitting activities.
  • Experience working on wet utility (water and/or wastewater) projects.
  • Experience working with water resources (such as stream and waterway restoration).
  • Experience with engineering tools (e.g.: CADD, GIS, analytical programs, etc.).
  • Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook).
