Job Summary

The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and support services under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Clinical Responsibilities

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing clinical procedures, including aseptic techniques, vital sign taking, and preparing patients for exams
  • Assisting with patient examinations and treatments, including administering medications and injections
  • Collecting laboratory specimens and performing basic laboratory procedures
  • Operating office medical equipment and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Administrative Responsibilities

You will also be responsible for:

  • Scheduling patient appointments and ensuring accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Acting as a first-level contact for providers and support staff, troubleshooting issues and resolving concerns
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Medical Assistant training
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications

We also welcome candidates with:

  • At least one year of related work experience
  • Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants
  • Registration by the American Medical Technologists
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • The ability to stand, walk, or view a computer screen for extended periods
  • The ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
  • The ability to reach with hands or arms
