Universal Banker Trainee

The Universal Banker Trainee position at Midland States Bank is a dynamic role that requires delivering exceptional customer experiences to current and potential customers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with customers, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.

• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our banking products and services, including deposit and lending options.
• Use needs-based questioning to identify customer needs and preferences, and provide personalized recommendations to meet those needs.
• Work closely with customers to open and maintain deposit accounts, and provide guidance on account management and maintenance.
• Participate in sales and marketing initiatives to promote banking products and services to customers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of sales and customer service experience, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Basic knowledge of banking products and services, with a willingness to learn and develop expertise in this area.
