We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Meat Service Associate to join our team at Hy-Vee. As a key member of our Meat Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist customers in finding products, loading/unloading heavy items, and making note of customer suggestions or requests.
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
- Wrap, weigh, and label product, and review the status and appearance of the food for freshness.
- Stock cases, rotate product, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Food safety training.
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
- Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
This position is continually exposed to a cool environment and dampness. There is frequent noise from the saws, exposure to cleaning solvents, and possibility of electrical shock.
