Job Overview:
We are seeking a Firmware Test Engineer with 6-8 years of expertise in real-time embedded systems programming utilizing Embedded C. The ideal candidate will possess strong white box testing capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of the product development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, specification documentation, development, testing, and implementation of real-time systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with microcontroller-integrated peripherals such as PWM, Client, SPI, and I2C.
- Utilize various IDE tools including Keil IDE, MPLAB X, Visual Studio, and Eclipse.
- Employ diagnostic tools like debuggers, Logic Analyzers, Digital Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, and Programmable Power Supplies.
- Define and implement APIs and communication protocols for instrumentation control and operation.
- Conduct multithreaded application testing and debugging in C/C++ on Linux platforms.
- Collaborate within an Agile software development framework.
- Utilize modern Source Code Management (SCM) tools such as git or AccuRev.
- Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices in a regulated environment.
- Adhere to quality systems and IEC/ISO standards pertinent to the medical device software lifecycle and risk management.
- Mentor and develop talent, fostering high-performance teams.
- Debug complex integrated systems encompassing hardware, embedded, and application software in medical devices.
- Design custom Automated Test Equipment (ATE), overseeing system design, electronic circuit design, and test software programming.
- Lead the ATE process from prototype development to validated test equipment delivery for manufacturing.
- Validate test systems and fixtures in FDA-regulated medical environments.
- Support verification and validation testing for new product development.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with computer vision toolkits such as OpenCV is advantageous.
- Understanding of electrical schematics and hardware.
- Hands-on experience in Medical Device development QMS/ISO13485 processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in target-based testing with hands-on debugging.
- Experience with SDLC/STLC/Agile methodologies and QA processes.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, addressing risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Experience in firmware development for 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers and microprocessors.
