We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Student Success Programs Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and recruiting students eligible for college programs and services, as well as assisting in the coordination of assigned programs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development of program goals and objectives, and recommend policy changes and implementation procedures.
- Prepare reports related to assigned programs, including data on student enrollment, retention, and completion rates.
- Conduct workshops and presentations on job placement strategies and interview techniques.
- Identify eligible students and provide information and assistance to students regarding assigned programs.
- Respond to inquiries and interpret and explain project policies and eligibility requirements.
- Coordinate services and activities to recruit, retain, and assist students, including campus tours and department visitations.
- Provide orientation and information to community groups, agencies, and institutions regarding college programs and services.
- Assist students in completing financial aid forms and monitor students through the financial aid process.
- Establish and maintain contacts with public agencies and service-area schools, both public and private.
- Attend and participate in conferences and workshops related to assigned programs.
- Any combination equivalent to: Associate degree with coursework in behavioral science, business, or a related field and two years of experience in a student services area.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license.
- Knowledge of program rules, regulations, and requirements.
- Knowledge of support services available at the college.
- Knowledge of financial aid functions and application procedures.
- Knowledge of recruitment strategies and job placement techniques.
- Ability to interpret, apply, and explain policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to determine program eligibility based on applications and supporting documentation.
- Ability to coordinate services and activities to recruit, retain, and assist students.
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of program rules, regulations, requirements, and restrictions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
