Job Title: Registered Nurse - Patient Care Specialist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at White Plains Hospital Center. As a Registered Nurse - Patient Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with patients, family members, and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Develop and implement care plans: Create and implement individualized care plans that address patient needs and promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Provide direct patient care: Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress: Continuously monitor patient progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance patient care.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current New York registration.
  • Experience: One year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS certification (through American Heart Association) is required. ACLS certification (through American Heart Association) is required for all RNs, except for NICU and OR RNs.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
