Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY:
  • The Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep of all machinery within the facility.
COMPENSATION:
  • Starting pay is $32.02/hour, increasing to $37.64/hour after 6 months.
  • Double time compensation on Sundays and holidays.
  • $0.90 shift differential for night shifts (5pm-5am).
SCHEDULE:
  • 10-hour rotation schedule - 8 days on (Thursday to Thursday) followed by 6 days off (Friday to Wednesday).
  • Every other weekend off.
  • Annual base schedule provided in advance for planning.
WORK HOURS:
  • Week 1: 5am-3pm (Thursday to Thursday).
  • Week 2: OFF (Friday to Wednesday).
  • Week 3: 7am-5pm (Thursday to Thursday).
  • Week 4: OFF (Friday to Wednesday).
  • Week 5: 5pm-3am (Thursday to Thursday).
  • Week 6: OFF (Friday to Wednesday).
  • Week 7: 7pm-5am (Thursday to Thursday).
  • Week 8: OFF (Friday to Wednesday).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures specific to the plant and department, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemicals prior to use.
  • Report all incidents, including injuries and near misses, to the Shift Supervisor promptly.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems.
  • Maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Repair circuit boards at the component level.
  • Service pumps, blowers, drives, heaters, dies, gearboxes, and PLCs.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production machinery.
  • Participate in 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, multi-meters, computers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working under deadlines in a team environment.
  • Experience with PLC programming, particularly Allen Bradley.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred but not mandatory.
  • Formal training in electrical systems, including PLCs, is advantageous.
  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance of production machinery is preferred.
