Kids Above All is in search of a dedicated full-time Therapist for our Group Home setting.
Role Summary: This role involves delivering direct services including diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions for assigned clients. Additionally, the Therapist will provide clinical guidance to program staff as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for a manageable caseload of 6 clients.
- Manage the intake process for new clients.
- Perform intake diagnostic assessments utilizing case consultations and DSM IV criteria, formulate treatment plans, and implement therapeutic strategies.
- Deliver outreach services in accordance with established case plans when clinically appropriate.
- Review and update case plans on a quarterly basis and as required.
- Assist in promoting the Program to potential referral sources.
- Engage in regular clinical consultations and provide support to staff as needed.
- Ensure that clients receive high-quality, professional services in alignment with the directives of recognized accrediting bodies.
- Adhere to Agency policies and procedures regarding Program services and management.
- Comply with Medicaid billing standards.
- Maintain accurate records and statistical reports as mandated.
- Oversee and support clients in their interactions with psychiatric consultants and medication management, coordinating additional therapeutic services.
- Provide clinical training to staff at least twice a month.
- Supervise family visits as required.
- Participate in hospital and other staffing meetings.
- Maintain competencies specific to job responsibilities and client needs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- LCSW or LCPC preferred; LPC and LSW candidates are also eligible.
- A minimum of three (3) years of direct service experience with adolescents.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and demonstrate sound judgment.
- Strong awareness of adolescent needs and responses, with the ability to effectively engage with adults.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Must meet and uphold DCFS driving standards.
- Basic computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word.
