  • Job Description:
  • Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
  • Administer PO, SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered by a physician.
  • Consult with medical personnel to provide expert information about chemotherapy and its side effects.
  • Assume responsibility for clinic specific assignments.
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting all changes in physician orders.
  • Assist physicians during conscious sedation procedures and minor diagnostic
Monitor physiological data and intervene as necessary.
  • Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver competent patient care, engaging with family and patients to share care plans during clinic visits, discharge, and follow up via phone triage.
  • Provide patient education related to chemotherapy and answer inquiries.
  • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff and schedule patient follow up activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
