Job Summary

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be essential in providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgical team members to coordinate patient care
• Anticipate and provide equipment and supplies as needed
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic practice
• Handle and transport medications and solutions safely
• Perform counts and initiate corrective action when necessary
• Assist with controlling the OR environment and adhering to sanitation policies

Requirements

• High school graduate
• Previous scrub tech experience or graduate of scrub tech school
• Earned a Surgical Technology diploma or degree from a college or university or has 18 months experience prior to July 1, 2006
• Current certification through NBSTSA or equivalent, within 6 months of employment

Work Environment

The Surgical Technologist will work in a fast-paced surgical unit with a patient population ranging from less than one year of age to ninety-nine plus years of age. The ability to work well under pressure and to function independently and dependently is essential. The Surgical Technologist will be required to push/pull objects up to 175 lbs and to lift and turn patients with assistance up to 250 lbs.
