Job Title: School Psychologist

TX-STAR Speech Language Services is seeking a highly skilled and passionate School Psychologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational and mental health needs of students in Dallas, TX school-based settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students to determine eligibility for special education services.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Provide consultation, assessments, counseling, problem-solving, and educational strategies to support students qualifying for special education services.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to ensure appropriate educational services for students.
  • Conduct re-evaluations of students as required by federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, evaluations, and IEPs in accordance with ISD and state regulations.
  • Participate in meetings with parents and other stakeholders to discuss assessment results and IEPs.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid Texas certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting.
  • Experience administering and interpreting a variety of assessment tools, including cognitive and academic assessments.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding special education services and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and strong time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple school locations as needed.
  • Bilingual language skills in English and Spanish are highly preferred.
