Position: Occupational Therapist
Sigma Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to deliver quality care in a rehabilitation setting.

Work Schedule: Day shifts

Role Overview:
  • This role encompasses the daily therapeutic interventions for designated individuals within the rehabilitation environment, adhering to the established guidelines set forth by the facility, Medicare, private insurance, and Therapy Management Corporation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records concerning patient care for all individuals within your caseload.
  • Ensure proper billing information is reported to the Director of Occupational Therapy for all patients under your care.
  • Deliver direct patient care as outlined, including assessment and treatment planning.
  • Report and interpret treatment outcomes effectively.
  • Engage in the development and presentation of educational in-services for the facility as needed.
  • Supervise support staff in relevant work areas as appropriate.
  • Conduct clinical functions: screenings, evaluations, treatment plan development, and treatment delivery in compliance with facility, Medicare, and Quality Care Rehab, Inc. policies.
  • Participate in patient care meetings as necessary.
  • Assist with community education and public relations initiatives of the facility when suitable.
  • Educate patients' families and staff regarding specific treatment plans and therapy objectives.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other team members to implement the established treatment plan.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Certification in line with the American Occupational Therapy Association standards.
  • State licensure in the relevant geographic area for the respective therapy profession.
  • Ability to perform essential tasks without posing a risk to personal or others' health and safety, including lifting, turning, and transporting patients.
  • Capability to conduct minimal assist transfers, defined as the ability to lift and manage 50 pounds.
