We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Job Summary

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients, collecting relevant information, and performing sonographic exams following defined protocols. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

  • Compile accurate records to expedite results.
  • Analyze the quality of images and processes as required.
  • Complete data sheets containing pertinent patient information following exams prior to forwarding to radiologists.
  • Take call after regular hours to meet department needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registration or registry eligibility by RDMS or ARRT.
  • Two to three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or Sonographer, including two years of experience in a hospital.
  • ARDMS eligibility, certification preferred.
  • Associate Degree.
  • This is a PRN position with weekend/holiday requirements.
