Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Rutherford County Schools is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and reconcile vendor invoices and payments
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records and reports
  • Prepare and submit financial statements and reports to management and regulatory agencies
  • Perform data entry and reconciliation of financial transactions
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in business or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
