Surgical Technology Adjunct Faculty Position

Job Summary:

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to teach in the Surgical Technology program. As a member of our faculty, you will play a critical role in shaping the minds of the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Surgical Technology courses to students in a classroom and clinical setting
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of the program and students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Surgical Technology or a related field
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA)
  • Teaching experience in a post-secondary setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Surgical Technology or a related field
  • Experience with online teaching and learning platforms
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment
