Position Overview
This role is part of FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. The level of the Pennsylvania Rates & Regulatory Affairs Analyst will be determined based on the interview outcomes, taking into account the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the recovery of costs for FirstEnergy's Pennsylvania distribution utilities in a timely manner.
- Assist in the management and development of various regulatory proceedings, including the preparation of testimony and tariff filings.
- Utilize analytical skills to comprehend ratemaking concepts such as revenue requirements, cost allocation, and regulatory accounting.
- Strengthen relationships between FirstEnergy's Pennsylvania utilities and the Public Utilities Commission of Pennsylvania.
- Support the formulation of strategies on regulatory and engineering issues, including grid modernization and emerging technologies.
- Provide assistance to regional customer service and engineering teams regarding tariff implementation and customer inquiries.
- Conduct research, analyze data, interpret findings, and offer recommendations.
- Ensure internal and external customer needs are met through effective service and responsiveness.
- Deliver analytical support to management at various levels.
- Make informed decisions by developing alternatives and recommendations to enhance company processes.
- Foster effective working relationships within the team and across the organization.
- Pursue formal and informal learning opportunities to stay informed on evolving regulatory and policy matters.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, mathematics, or a related field is preferred; an advanced degree is advantageous.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience is required, with a focus on analytical, research, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) is essential; experience with SAP, Business Explorer, Qlikview, or similar data tools is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for business-related activities, including meetings and hearings.
- A proactive attitude towards learning, achieving results, and building relationships.
- Strong analytical skills, including problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to deliver quality work within set deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
