Job Summary

As a Radiographer with the University of Maryland Medical System, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients across the region. Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures, utilizing knowledge of radiology principles and practices to ensure accurate and safe imaging results.
  • Apply technical skills and knowledge to select appropriate technical factors for individual patient needs, adhering to regulatory compliance standards.
  • Document patient care activities in electronic health records systems, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Ensure a safe and efficient work environment, maintaining supplies and inventory, and reporting equipment-related issues as needed.
  • Participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives, contributing to workflow optimization, patient experience enhancement, and quality improvement.

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology from a program accredited by the US Department of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed as a Radiographer in the State of Maryland.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
