Perioperative Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Perioperative Technician to join our team at Carilion Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and comfort.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict standards for handling sterilized and clean materials.
• Operate and maintain various sterilizers, ensuring proper functioning and efficiency.
• Prepare and assemble instrument procedure trays, handling all items with aseptic practices.
• Dispense products and equipment as needed, prioritizing emergency requests and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Apply aseptic techniques in daily work assignments, ensuring the highest level of patient safety.

• High school graduate or equivalent, with nursing assistant or nursing education preferred.
• Previous NA experience in direct patient care is highly desirable.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
• Must successfully complete Basic Life Support (BLS) course within 6 months of hire.
