**Job Summary**
ProCare Therapy is seeking a highly skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in a school setting. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will play a critical role in facilitating communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their teachers and peers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality sign language interpretation services to students, teachers, and staff in a school setting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, teachers, and staff to ensure effective communication and support.
- Collaborate with educators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in sign language interpretation and education.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience as a sign language interpreter in a school setting.
- Active Illinois Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) License.
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
- Previous school experience is preferred.
