Job Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician, also referred to as Environmental Services Specialist or Building Sanitation Associate, plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across all administrative facilities of Penn-Mar Organization, Inc. This position is essential for ensuring a hygienic, safe, and professional atmosphere for both employees and the individuals we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including mopping and vacuuming of communal spaces.
  • Collect and dispose of waste and refuse efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all administrative and program areas through regular cleaning and vacuuming.
  • Disinfect and mop lavatory facilities to uphold sanitation standards.
  • Clean and organize coffee stations, break rooms, and training areas, ensuring all appliances and surfaces are tidy.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and have 3-5 years of relevant experience in housekeeping or janitorial services. A clean criminal background check is required, along with a valid Driver's License and a minimum of two years of consecutive driving experience. Candidates must also be able to pass pre-employment drug screening, physical assessments, and Mantoux testing (PPD, TB).

This role is also known under various titles such as Housekeeper, Environmental Services Aide, and Custodian.

Preferred Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role is highly valued.

Licenses & Certifications:

Relevant certifications in sanitation or housekeeping are advantageous.
