Job Title: Civil EIT - Water Resources

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil EIT - Water Resources professional to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Water business, you will play a critical role in delivering sustainable solutions to ensure water is where it should be and available when needed.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work as a team member for larger Flood Risk Program projects, supporting aspects of Stantec's Flood Risk Mapping, Assessment, and Planning (Risk MAP) projects and similar projects. You will perform complex engineering design/analysis tasks, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, engineering drawings/figures, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support watershed-wide Flood Risk MAP projects, Conditional Letters of Map Revisions (CLOMRs), Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs), and No-Rise Analyses.
  • Perform complex engineering design/analysis tasks on assigned projects under the supervision of the Project Technical Lead or Project Manager.
  • Engage in the development of Flood Insurance Study reports Profiles, Floodway Data Tables, work maps, and databases.
  • Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
  • Participate in client project requirement meetings and value analysis and cost estimating.
  • Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own tasks.
  • Assist in the development of new standards and specifications for the discipline.
  • Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact, and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field, and be an EIT or have the ability to acquire licensure within 12 months of hire. You will possess time management skills, thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as relevant discipline software programs, is also required.
