A speech-language therapist plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. At ABA Pathways LLC, we are seeking an experienced speech-language pathologist or clinical fellow to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for someone who can develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments and recommendations from multidisciplinary teams.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent documentation skills, maintaining accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • As a speech-language pathologist, you will be responsible for administering evaluations, tests, and examinations to patients, collaborating with their care teams to ensure holistic support.
  • We expect our therapists to consult with patients, family members, educators, and medical staff on effective communication strategies and speech stimulation techniques.
Primary Functions:
  1. This position involves promoting independence by selecting and constructing therapies tailored to individual physical capacities, intelligence levels, and interests.
  2. The successful candidate will complete discharge planning by consulting with physicians, social workers, BCBA, and support coordinators, as well as parents/guardians.
  3. Prior experience in team leadership is essential for this role, along with the ability to lift, move, and assist patients with weights up to 30 lbs, while also standing for extended periods.
  4. We require our therapists to assure continuation of therapeutic plans post-discharge through designing and instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs, recommending assistive equipment, and suggesting outpatient or home health follow-up programs.
  5. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations is crucial for this position.
  6. Ensuring operation of equipment by performing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and requesting repairs is also expected.
  7. We encourage our therapists to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional societies.
  8. This role involves developing staff by providing information, creating and conducting in-service training programs, and contributing to team efforts as needed.
Essential Requirements:
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required, with demonstrated experience and skills in team leadership.
  • Fingerprint, TB, background checks, and clearance, infant/child CPR, and First Aid certification are necessary for this role.
