Job Title: Endoscopy Technician

Job Summary:

As an Endoscopy Technician at Grandview Medical Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care for our patients undergoing endoscopy procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation and execution of endoscopy cases, including ERCPs and emergent GI procedures. You will also assist with pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy and thoracentesis, as well as other minor procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of endoscopy cases, including patient preparation and equipment setup
  • Assist in the execution of endoscopy procedures, including ERCPs and emergent GI procedures
  • Assist with pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy and thoracentesis
  • Assist with other minor procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
  • Provide a safe environment for patients and staff by complying with regulatory agency requirements and standards

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience in a hospital setting or endoscopy center preferred
  • Complete GI Associates Skill Validation Test and achieve title of GI Technical Specialist
  • Current BLS certification preferred
