As a State-Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) at The Laurels of Defiance, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our guests.
We are looking for dedicated individuals who possess patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to care for others. Your role will involve providing compassionate support to our guests under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Take and record vital signs, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Measure and record height, weight, intake, and output, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and toileting, promoting dignity and independence.
- Help with eating and hydration, prioritizing our guests' nutritional needs.
- Observe skin changes and report to licensed nurses, providing essential skin care as needed.
- Meet guests' mental health and social service needs, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Active STNA certification.
