About the Job

We're looking for a skilled Software Development Professional to join our team at Netflix. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and scaling online data systems while supporting high-visibility data pipelines and products.

About the Team
  • You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including data science, analytics, and business counterparts to build insightful tools, apps, services, and libraries that describe entities, interactions, and usage patterns across the Netflix Knowledge Graph.
  • You'll collaborate with Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Scientists, and business analysts to build scalable access patterns for them.
RequirementsKey Skills and Qualifications
  • A full-stack developer with experience in both backend and frontend development, with expertise in owning and maintaining backend services.
  • Proficiency in designing, building, and operating API layers that support various front-end user experiences, with experience in GraphQL and Node.js being a plus.
  • API and SDK development experience, having built, maintained, evolved, and/or sunset APIs and libraries/SDKs.
  • Proficiency in working with Javascript, React, or other similar technologies, with proficiency in Python or Java being a plus.
  • Comfortable with SQL and using big data technologies like Hive, Presto, Spark, Iceberg, etc., on medium to large-scale data.
  • Willingness to learn and own all areas of the software lifecycle: design, development, test, deployment, operation, and support.
  • Familiarity with graph technologies, including databases, data models, query languages, and enthusiasm to learn more.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members and partners on projects that drive high-impact outcomes.
