Role Summary:

The Lead Credit Risk Analyst plays a crucial role in evaluating and analyzing credit data for current and prospective borrowers. This position is essential in determining the feasibility of extending credit across various loan types and serves as a key resource for the Vice President of Lending. The primary objective is to facilitate the efficient and accurate processing of quality loans while maintaining high production standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience in credit analysis within the real estate sector, specifically at a community bank or private lending firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the VP of Lending in conducting thorough pre-qualification assessments and analyses of borrowers' financial situations.
  • Gather and analyze data from credit bureaus, tax documents, and asset statements.
  • Draft clear and concise executive summaries for loan proposals.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Lending to manage the existing loan portfolio, including extensions, modifications, and compliance tracking.
  • Provide recommendations and work alongside the VP of Lending to structure loans and mitigate associated risks.
  • Oversee the evaluation process for potential new appraisers.
  • Support the VP of Lending during Credit Committee meetings by demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of relevant deal information.
  • Ensure the integrity of the current Credit Policy and implement necessary updates.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
