Job Summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a comprehensive array of sophisticated abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Imaging
    • Perform high-quality ultrasound and vascular studies to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
    • Operate and maintain ultrasound and vascular equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
    • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Patient Care
    • Provide exceptional patient care and communication, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
    • Explain procedures and results to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound and vascular technologies, techniques, and best practices.
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Allied Health or a related field.
  • Certifications
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in ultrasound and vascular imaging.
  • Skills
    • Strong technical skills in ultrasound and vascular imaging.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
