Core ResponsibilitiesThis role involves supporting production line operations, including the timely disassembly and reassembly of equipment, as well as the cleaning and sanitation of various components such as machinery, floors, and walls. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing the work schedule and preparing equipment and supplies at the start of each shift.
- Preparing machinery for cleaning by removing residual materials and placing them in designated containers.
- Managing the removal of totes and containers from the machine area, ensuring all valves and doors are properly handled.
- Disassembling and loosening machine parts as necessary for thorough cleaning.
- Washing down production equipment and machinery as required.
- Scraping and soaking machine parts to ensure cleanliness.
- Applying appropriate cleaning and sanitizing solutions to surfaces and equipment.
- In the absence of key personnel, the supervisor or trained designee will ensure all tasks are completed.

QualificationsTo succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in sanitation or a similar role within a distribution environment is preferred.
- Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Adherence to established personal and food safety guidelines.
- Availability to work scheduled hours, including potential mandatory overtime based on production needs.
The physical demands for this position include:
- Regular use of hands for handling and grasping.
- Prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
- Occasional walking for short distances.
- Ability to consistently lift and move up to 60 lbs of materials.
- Frequent stretching and use of upper body strength.
- Occasional twisting and turning at the waist.
