**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist with general labor duties in our Department of Public Works Mechanic Shop. This is a temporary position for Summer 2024, working 61 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

**Responsibilities:**

* Assist with various tasks and projects in the mechanic shop
* Perform general labor duties as assigned
* Develop skills and knowledge in the automotive or diesel/heavy equipment technician field

**Requirements:**

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
