Job Summary:

At Vail Resorts, we're committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a member of our Ski Patrol team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our staff and guests on the mountain.

As a skilled and dependable professional, you'll be responsible for promoting safety and responding to emergencies with expertise and calmness. Your ability to remain focused and composed in high-pressure situations will be essential in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote guest safety on varied terrain with varying winter weather conditions
  • Assist injured/ill guests on the mountain and administer first aid
  • Transporting injured guests off the mountain using a toboggan or supporting airlift operations
  • Maintain trails, including hazard identification and setting up closures and safety materials
  • Transporting supplies and heavy equipment to areas of need on skis/snowboard
  • Performing closing procedures at the end of the day to ensure that all guests are safely off the mountain
  • Enforcement of the Skier Responsibility Code and Resort Policies
  • Chairlift and guest evacuation
Requirements:
  • Pass resort Ski Patrol sponsored ski test
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
