Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our tax team to support our tax life cycle, including accounting, compliance, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the interim and annual tax accounting process to ensure accurate and timely reporting for both income taxes and taxes other than income taxes (TOTIT).
  • Prepare and document supporting calculations and tax accounting positions.
  • Support the tax compliance function to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare federal and state income tax calculations, income tax returns, extensions, estimated tax payments, and respond to notices from taxing authorities.
  • Research and document income tax positions.
  • Prepare tax TOTIT return filings.
  • Support the financial tax forecasting process to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare projected income tax and TOTIT obligations as well as scenario modeling.
  • Support the regulatory filing process to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Prepare rate case filings, regulatory deliverables, and responses to regulatory data requests.
  • Independently research and conclude on various complex tax issues to determine the appropriate tax treatment and related reporting.
  • Research includes preparing written memorandums and technical presentations.
  • Proactively identify, drive, and implement process improvements that promote risk management, streamline activities, and enhance transparency in tax work streams.
  • Participate in project planning and support special projects including the implementation of new technologies.
  • Actively identify and pursue innovation opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or other financial discipline.
  • 2+ years or more of professional tax experience focusing on large, publicly traded companies in a corporate tax department, public accounting firm or law firm.
  • Assumes personal ownership for developing tax technical and communication skills.
  • Certified Public Accountant or other financial certification and/or advanced degree (JD or MST) preferred.
