Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide structural analytical support for both commercial and military programs, ensuring the durability and structural integrity of gas-turbine compressor components, including airfoils, rotors, shafts, cases, and actuation linkage systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver analytical support throughout the design process, from preliminary and detailed design to validation, certification, manufacturing, and operational service.
  • Oversee validation testing, including engine and rig tests, and conduct data reduction.
  • Assist with in-service field investigations to resolve issues.
  • Utilize finite element (FE) and classical methods for analyses related to strength, stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life, damage tolerance, containment, kinematics, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop design solutions that meet customer requirements for durability, performance, cost, and weight.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and manage outsourced tasks.
  • Work with colleagues to advance technology and enhance engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Document findings and present results to management and external stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in structural analysis, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Persons status due to government contracts.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong communication and task coordination skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities using FEM for stress/deflection, vibration, and conducting low cycle fatigue (LCF), high cycle fatigue (HCF), fracture mechanics, or kinematics analyses.
