About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Island Maintenance Director to join our team at Pursuit Collection.

Job Summary:

The Island Maintenance Director will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our island facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests and staff
  • Coordinate with General Manager, Port Mechanic, and Land Facilities Maintenance Technician regarding facility maintenance
  • Supervise maintenance staff and ensure accurate timekeeping, scheduling, and budget management
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner, including daily usage and safety checks
  • Practice and enforce safe tool handling and equipment operation, following safety guidelines and procedures
  • Continuously evaluate and improve operations and safety procedures
  • Order maintenance equipment and supplies as needed, tracking inventory and ensuring timely delivery
  • Track propane systems, diesel fuel, and equipment usage, submitting invoices for processing
  • Collaborate with GM to address issues and implement solutions
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot fresh water, propane, generation, and septic systems
  • Oversee safety and incident management programs, coordinating training and equipment maintenance
  • Participate in emergency response activities, including firefighting and medical assistance

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in building maintenance
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; mechanical training preferred
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and prioritize tasks under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with diverse groups
  • Valid US driver's license with clean driving record
