The Flexographic Press Technician plays a vital role in our operations, tasked with the production of printed labels while consistently overseeing quality and press performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations established by the plant and corporate standards.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents to the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace by completing daily housekeeping tasks.
  • Execute make-ready procedures according to Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure proper print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are utilized.
  • Conduct all necessary quality checks in line with product specifications, including visual and functional assessments.
  • Operate the press to produce products that meet customer specifications while managing quality, waste, and efficiency.
  • Ensure consistent quality throughout the production run, focusing on critical checks such as copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion.
  • Complete all required procedures, work instructions, and quality assessments as per BRC standards.
  • Efficiently perform press make-ready tasks.
  • Fulfill all necessary equipment maintenance responsibilities.
  • Clean plates, cylinders, and ink pans, and lubricate the press as required.
  • Accurately input all necessary information into the GlobeTek system regarding material usage and time.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a printing press operator or relevant training.
  • Physical demands include standing, using hands for manipulation, reaching with arms, and effective communication.
  • Frequent walking is required.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
