Join Our Team as a Taxation Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Analyst to join our team at Empower Retirement. As a Taxation Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our tax filings and financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare income tax accruals under multiple accounting bases, including IFRS (IAS 12) and, as applicable, either on a US GAAP (ASC 740) or insurance statutory (SSAP 101) accounting basis
  • Prepare quarterly and annual federal and state income and/or indirect tax calculations and related filings
  • Prepare and review of required financial statement analytics
  • Manage federal and state tax examination and notice responses, including tracking, response research, coordination, and formulation
  • Document significant tax positions and prepare work-papers supporting tax filings and income tax accruals
  • Assist in the budgeting and preparation of tax-related financial projections
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments across the business and with external auditors and service providers
  • Ad hoc tax research and documentation
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science (or equivalent) in Accounting and/or Master's in Taxation
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in accounting for income taxes (either IFRS or US GAAP) and tax return compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

Base Salary Range:

$69,400.00 - $98,050.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances, a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements, and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
