Job Overview

We are looking for a Consulting Engineer to support local clients in the region between Philadelphia, PA and Annapolis, MD. The role involves travel of approximately 25%-40%, depending on relevant experience. The successful candidate will join the Risk Informed Services division and collaborate with seasoned professionals on the Energy & Utilities team, focusing on nuclear safety and reliability consulting.

Key Responsibilities

The Consulting Engineer will be an integral part of a corporate risk management team, engaging with various nuclear plant departments to execute the risk management (PRA) program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the implementation of Maintenance Rule
  • Providing guidance to work planners regarding maintenance scheduling
  • Updating and maintaining configuration risk management (CRM) software models
  • Addressing urgent plant risk management needs
  • Collaborating with plant operations and engineering teams
  • Creating and updating risk-related documentation and training materials

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Navy nuclear or commercial nuclear power facilities. Essential qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
