At CityParking Inc., we manage numerous parking facilities across various locations in Virginia. The role of the Facility Maintenance Associate is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our parking areas, ensuring a pleasant experience for our patrons. Ideal candidates will take pride in their work and collaborate effectively with team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the parking facility and surrounding areas are kept clean and orderly through various maintenance tasks, including sweeping, litter collection, and leaf removal.
  • Follow checklists provided by the facility manager to maintain all surfaces and areas in a neat and tidy condition.
  • Utilize equipment such as sweepers and blowers to perform cleaning duties efficiently.
  • Report any observed safety hazards, policy violations, or unusual incidents to the facility manager promptly.
  • Manage snow removal and apply ice-melt in designated areas as instructed.
  • Maintain a professional and tidy appearance at all times.
  • Stay vigilant and aware of surrounding events that may impact daily operations.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with colleagues and customers.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor, especially when addressing service requests.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and unexpected challenges.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical capability to meet job demands, including prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Possession of a personal vehicle and a satisfactory driving record is necessary.
