Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery Planning: Plan and execute daily and weekly delivery routes in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.

  • Load Management: Cooperate with the Shipping Supervisor and Traffic Manager to manage changes to loads and scheduling as needed.

  • Communication: Communicate clearly and frequently with the Traffic Manager and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Quality and Timeliness: Emphasize quality and timeliness in all aspects of the job, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.
  • Cost Management: Adhere to processes that ensure costs are in line with projected budgets, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Team Environment: Foster a teamwork environment that supports plant and corporate objectives, and promotes a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL: Possess a valid Class A CDL with Air Brake Endorsement.
  • Availability: Be available to travel overnight as needed, and work at the unloading site in varying weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Meet standard weight lifting requirements and be able to drive for extended periods.
  • DOT Compliance: Demonstrate proficiency in understanding and complying with DOT regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Possess good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work effectively with a team.
  • Safe Driving Record: Maintain a proven safe driving record and demonstrate a commitment to DOT compliance.
