Rigger Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Rigger to join our team at Connect Staffing. As a Rigger, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving heavy loads using rigging equipment.

• Install and configure rigging gear, including ropes, cables, pulleys, winches, and cranes, to move heavy loads safely and efficiently.
• Conduct thorough inspections of rigging equipment before use to ensure it is in good condition and meets safety standards.
• Determine the weight and balance of loads to ensure that the rigging setup can safely handle the weight without tipping or collapsing.
• Control and operate lifting machinery, such as cranes and hoists, following precise movements to lift, move, and position heavy objects.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, providing clear hand signals to crane operators, and ensuring that the work area is safe for all personnel involved in lifting operations.

• Minimum 6 months experience as a Rigger.
• Should be physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and maintaining balance and coordination.
• Proficient in using rigging equipment, such as ropes, pulleys, hoists, and cranes.
• Should also understand load calculations and weight distribution.
• Ability to inspect rigging equipment for wear and tear, ensuring all components are in safe working condition and properly secured.
