Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide to join our team. The successful candidate will provide medication assistance to residents in accordance with state regulations and company policy. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medication assistance to residents, including pouring, preparing, and administering medications
  • Maintain the medication cart and storage room in a neat and orderly manner
  • Ensure accurate medication counts and maintain the security of the medication cart and storage room
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
  • Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care and medication assistance
  • Respond to resident needs and requests for care promptly and provide or obtain assistance as necessary
  • Uphold Residents' Rights at all times and support company policies and care philosophy
  • Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition and report promptly to a licensed nurse
  • Complete documentation, including medication administration records, incident reports, and behavior tracking
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and other staff members
  • Must be able to perform job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must complete Medication Aide training and certification in states where required
