Head Lifeguard

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Lifeguard to join our team at the City of Gainesville, GA. As a key member of our aquatic staff, you will be responsible for providing support to our lifeguards, ensuring the safety of our patrons, and maintaining a clean and well-maintained pool environment.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of lifeguards, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to respond to emergencies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of the pool and surrounding areas to identify potential hazards and take corrective action as needed.
• Develop and implement aquatic programs and activities that promote water safety and swim skills.
• Collaborate with other aquatic staff members to ensure that all pool operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
• Respond to emergency situations in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of pool chemical readings, maintenance activities, and other relevant data.

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Minimum 12 weeks of lifeguard experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions in emergency situations.
