Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role can be performed in a hybrid capacity and is integral to our financial strategy.

The FP&A team plays a crucial role in partnering with executive and business line leaders, empowering all levels of the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions that enhance financial performance and shareholder value.

This position will focus on providing financial support to our technology and operations divisions. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the banking business and will engage with leaders across various departments. We seek an independent thinker who can grasp the broader context and contribute to collaborative solutions for complex challenges. A keen eye for automation and process enhancement is essential to streamline routine tasks and concentrate on advanced analytical insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop executive and board-level presentations that articulate key financial trends.
  • Generate monthly financial reports tailored for an executive audience.
  • Lead annual planning and quarterly forecasting for supported groups.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in expense allocation, profitability, and reporting methodologies.
  • Assist in designing and implementing effective cost optimization strategies.
  • Independently create and analyze financial models to support management decision-making.
  • Address ad hoc analytical requests as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, or closely related fields.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including but not limited to INDEX-MATCH, XLOOKUP, TEXT, INDIRECT, array formulas, pivot tables with calculated fields, named objects, and basic VBA.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences, from finance professionals to technical staff and executive management.
  • Ability to devise innovative solutions to previously unresolved data and reporting challenges.
  • A commitment to continuous process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Capability to manage competing demands and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Experience with Hyperion for reporting, planning, and ad hoc analysis is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Business Objects, Microsoft Power Apps, or similar tools is advantageous.
