Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Dartmouth Health. As a key member of our Central Supply Pharmacy, you will play a critical role in supporting our 340B Program and ensuring the efficient distribution of medications to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Manage wholesaler and direct manufacturer ordering, receipt of orders, and purchasing of pharmaceuticals, while maintaining accurate records and utilizing computer systems and Excel for purchase history.
  • Oversee medication recall management, distribution of medications to clinics, and email correspondence with supported clinics.
  • Purchase pharmaceuticals in quantities sufficient to meet patient needs and reorder based on GPO and 340B Drug Pricing Program criteria.
  • Control inventory for the Inpatient Pharmacy and clinical practices, responsible for quarterly inventory at Central Supply Pharmacy.
  • Coordinate annual inventory and assist with the management of drug shortages, maintaining and auditing 340B eligible transactions and product accumulations for accuracy.
  • Process pharmacy invoices and manage interdepartmental billing, monitoring and maintaining processes and documentation for controlled substance compliance.
  • Prepare prescription and non-prescription medication and/or devices, stocking and replenishing stock locations and automated dispensing machines.
  • Utilize automation to unit dose medications and serve as a preceptor and assist with orienting and training of pharmacy department staff.
  • Communicate supply issues, problems, or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a health or related field, with 1 year of pharmacy experience, or the equivalent in education and experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations and function independently within their scope of responsibility.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
