This role will be integral in supporting Fleet Operations by evaluating and addressing financial inquiries from designated operational divisions.

This position will involve generating financial reports through the development of system queries and creating necessary process documentation. Responsibilities also include managing general ledger accounts, analyzing financial reports, resolving discrepancies, and preparing end-of-month entries.

Compensation
This role offers a competitive salary range of $53,000 - $63,000 annually, contingent upon relevant experience and skill level.

Work Schedule
The Accountant position is a full-time, hybrid role with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM CST. This position requires in-office attendance for two days each week.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities encompass:

  • Preparation and analysis of financial statements for designated Fleet Operations.
  • Compiling bank reconciliations and account schedules.
  • Creating journal entries, expense accruals, and allocations.
  • Participating in a timely and accurate month-end closing process.
  • Analyzing income statement variations for assigned branches.
  • Providing process improvement and cost-saving recommendations.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Managing travel and expense reports, including coding and account classification.
  • Preparing financial schedules for selected Fleet Operations.
  • Addressing accounting and technical inquiries for all Fleet Operations.
  • Generating departmental reports and conducting analyses.
  • Engaging in special projects as required.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of accounting experience is preferred.
- Must be willing to accept a salary within the specified range based on experience.
- Must meet all technical requirements for remote work eligibility.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
