Position Overview
As a certified Master Technician, you will become a leader in the field, utilizing cutting-edge technology to expertly perform vehicle glass repairs and replacements independently. Your role will also involve mentoring and guiding fellow technicians, embodying the Safelite Spirit with a positive attitude and a commitment to exceptional service, all while ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Professionally install vehicle glass following the Safelite Way of Fitting processes.
  • Deliver all Safelite services independently at either a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop, prioritizing safety, quality, and outstanding customer service.
  • Manage work orders and customer communications using the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
  • Utilize advanced vehicle glass tools, including True Seal, Ezi-WireTM, and Glass Table System (GTS), with expertise.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle to and from customer locations throughout the day.
  • Provide mentorship and training to fellow technicians on a daily basis.
  • Communicate effectively with customers using various technologies, including in-person interactions, text messages, and phone calls.
  • Recalibrate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems using Safelite tools and processes.
  • Install power window regulators and replace side and back window glass professionally.
  • Demonstrate advanced mechanical skills and share extensive knowledge of the Safelite Way of Fitting with your team.
  • Adapt to schedule changes and collaborate with Customer Advocates and Dispatch to ensure timely customer assistance.
  • Cut flat glass and install as required.
  • Provide customers with updates on the status of repairs or replacements.
  • Begin each day with our daily Check-In Check-Out process.
  • Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
  • Report any unexpected damages, accidents, or incomplete jobs to management immediately.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by Safelite Management.
Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
Skills and Competencies
  • Consistently achieve high levels of productivity, customer satisfaction, and quality standards.
  • Adhere to Safelite policies and procedures on every job.
  • Meet all physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 75 lbs. and maintaining range of motion in upper extremities.
  • Operate a commercial vehicle safely and courteously, following all safety regulations.
  • Comply with personal protective equipment (PPE) policies while on the job.
  • Safely handle sharp tools and hazardous materials.
  • Remain flexible with work hours and days as workload demands change.
  • Collaborate effectively with other technicians and leadership.
  • Work in various environmental conditions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and cleanliness of company vehicles.
  • Exhibit self-motivation and strong organizational skills.
  • Complete all required training and certifications in a timely manner.
  • Meet hiring requirements and pass drug screenings as per company policy.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
