Job Title: Retail Associate

Are you passionate about woodworking and providing exceptional customer service? We're seeking a Retail Associate to join our team at Rockler Woodworking Family.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a friendly and knowledgeable Retail Associate to assist customers with their woodworking needs. As a key member of our sales team, you'll provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and help customers find the perfect products for their projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and engage with customers as they enter the store.
  • Assess customers' needs and suggest solutions to their problems.
  • Answer woodworking-related questions and have a working knowledge of many woodworking tools and equipment.
  • Work with cash registers and process payments.
  • Recommend the best products to customers.
  • Clean and restock the store throughout the day.
Key Holder Responsibilities:
  • Open and close the store as directed by the store manager.
  • Perform other management tasks, including receiving, pricing, and merchandising.
  • Work with cash registers and process payments.
  • Handle customer refunds and overrides.
  • Prepare necessary documentation in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Enjoyment helping people learn and grow in the woodworking hobby or business.
  • An energetic attitude, self-motivation, and excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and safely participate in team lifting.
  • A desire to network and build relationships with customers.
  • Flexibility to work a 5-day retail schedule and designated holidays.
