Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership/Human Resource Management: Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to participate in recruitment and retention strategies, assist with unit huddles and leader rounding with employees, and participate in unit goal creation reflective of hospital goals and the mission and vision of Hackensack Meridian Health.
  • Financial Management: Collaborate with the Nurse Manager for efficient fiscal management of departmental activities, ensuring proper utilization of hospital resources, including payroll, staff scheduling, and daily staffing needs.
  • Quality and Safety/Performance Improvement: Optimize the patient and family experience of care, lead multidisciplinary rounds, ensure unit-based performance improvement monitoring, and lead or participate in quality improvement projects.

Requirements:

  • Professional, registered nurse with a strong background in nursing leadership and operations.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
