Job Purpose:
The Senior Financial Analyst for Commercial Finance plays a crucial role in the execution of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the Commercial Profit and Loss (P&L) statement. This position focuses on providing analytical support for direct sales, gross profit reporting, and evaluating business initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of Commercial Finance, this role is integral to our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver precise financial reports to executive management, enabling them to assess the monthly and annual performance of the Commercial business.
  • Contribute to the annual financial planning process by forecasting revenue and consolidating costs to present a comprehensive annual plan for distributor-related financials.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial teams, including Sales, Marketing, and eCommerce, to align P&L expectations with forecasts.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on actual performance against planned forecasts and previous year results, focusing on customer and distributor profitability.
  • Identify and analyze key risks and opportunities related to forecasts, preparing monthly gross profit projections.
  • Update the 5-year long-range financial plan as needed.
  • Assist with various special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant finance experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal finance partners and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive investigative approach.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also thriving in a team setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is essential.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx, along with experience handling large datasets, is preferred.
